Course duration: Two days
Prerequisites: 18 years old (15 with parental consent), TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent, show proof of 25 logged dives, complete the RSTC medical form
Course cost (includes 2 days instruction, manual and certification costs): £425 per participant. Not included are site entry, equipment hire and gas. If extra days are required they are charged at £175 per diver per day or £225 per day for a private day.
Course description: This two day course (including 4 dives totalling a minimum of 100 minutes) picks up from the Nitrox course and takes an in-depth look at the physics and physiology relating to diving with gas mixes from 41% to 100% oxygen, gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen limitations, nitrogen limitations, equipment selection, cylinder labeling, nitrox analysis, oxygen servicing ratings and gas blending procedures.
Upon successful completion of this course, divers can dive with gas mixes up to 100% oxygen to a maximum depth of 40m during dives that do not require staged decompression. This course is often taught in conjuction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course. Please see our Decompression Procedures course page for this option.
