Course description: This course covers the knowledge, protocols and techniques required for the safe use of surface markery buoys (SMBs). SMBs serve a range of purposes in diving, most commonly to alert boat traffic to the presence of divers, provide a line or visual reference for ascending divers or to mark the boundaries for mapping search and recovery.
