Course description: This course is a non-diving course designed to familiarise participants with the plight of the world’s aquatic ecosystems and what we can do to help protect the aquatic resources. We discuss the role that the Project AWARE foundation plays in protecting the aquatic ecosystems worldwide, the importance and interdependance of aquatic ecosystems, the issues concerning the environmental status such as polution, fisheries and coastal zone management, as well as information on how to take action on how to conserve underwater environments.
