Adult, Child and Infant Emergency Care Course

Course duration: eLearning in own time and approximately 6 hours of practical training

Who is this course for? This course is designed to ensure anyone can provide first aid care to a person in need. It is not diving related and is particularly useful for anyone who would like to be prepared, parents, outdoor enthusiasts, businesses wishing to protect their staff and customers, lifeguards, babysitters, caregives and anyone who needs an ILCOR compliant course.

Prerequisites: 18 years old or 10 years old with parental consent

Course cost: includes eLearning, practical session and certification fee: £175 per participant

Course description: This course teaches you the foundations of being able to help others in the unfortunate event of an accident, injury or illness and how to sustain life until the Emergency Services arrive. The course is broken into two sections: an eLearning section that you complete in your own time prior to the course (internet access required for this) and the practical session, which is instructor led.

During the course you will learn key skills such as recognising when Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required, how to do CPR, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as well as managing risk through use of barriers / PPE. We also cover common first aid scenarios such as bleeds, broken bones, burns, bites, blows, field neurological exams and choking.
