Who are we?
Purple Turtle Diving was founded in 2011 by Toni, who is passionate about her scuba diving and her teaching. She has been a scuba diving instructor since 2003 and is a proactive SDI and TDI Instructor Trainer. She reached qualifications as a PADI Staff Instructor and as an Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer since 2011, but has made the decision to focus on the International Training courses. Toni has been a technical diving instructor since 2013 and teaches up to TDI Trimix 75, TDI Decompression Procedures Instructor as well as gas blending courses.
Toni sees her own continued education as key and in the last year has completed an Intermediate Life Support course and is working towards her cave diving certifications. Toni believes that in order to be a strong instructor who can teach effectively, you must remember why you dive and what you love most about diving. As such, it’s not uncommon to find Toni out diving and most recently she has been fortunate enough to dive with expedition teams where she was involved in dives identifying wrecks such as the UC-55 (Shetland Islands), the SS Belgique (off Alderney) and the TN-34 Volunteer (Faroe Islands).
All of the Purple Turtle Staff have been carefully selected by Toni for their detailed attention to safety and regulations, their dedication to adhering to agency standards and their enthusiasm and love for the sport. Our staff are all keen divers, who not only teach but also dive as often as their schedules allow!
