Course duration: 1 pool session (optional), 1 theory session, 3 practical applications and 4 dives (1 in confined or limited open water) over 2 days
Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent, PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent, PADI Deep Diver or show proof of at least 10 dives to 30 meters, minimum age 18, minimum of 30 logged dives of which at least 10 were made with enriched air nitrox over 18meters / 60 feet, physicians approval to dive.
Course cost: includes Deep Diver Manual, Planning Slate, Checklist Slate, additional printed materials, gas, use of stage cylinders if required and certification fees: £500 without equipment hire or £600 with equipment hire (twinset, stage, regs, backplate and harness)
Course description: Introduction to limited decompression within accepted recreational depth limits in standard technical equipment. The Tec 40 course qualifies divers to use decompression software and dive computers to make limited decompression dives using a single decompression gas with up to 50% oxygen.
