Emergency First Response Care for Children

Course duration: Approximately 6 hours

Prerequisites: None

Course cost: includes manual, DVD and certification fee: £129 per participant on a scheduled course

Course description: This course teaches participants how to provide emergency care to children and infants under the age of 8 years old, with an emphasis on learning about the types of emergencies that children face and how they differ from those faced by adults. The course includes both Primary (CPR) and Secondary care (First Aid) skills. The Primary Care section includes dealing with cardiac arrest and choking. The Secondary Care section focuses on being able to provide first aid to children or infants.
