Egypt May 2016

8 September 2016 by Toni Norton

We had a fab time on our May trip to Egypt!  We went out on Emperor Explorer for a week before having 4 wonderful days in El Gouna, diving with Dive Connection.

Our itinerary was the Brothers, Elphinstone and Daedalus to hopefully see some bigger life, including Hammerheads and we were not disappointed.  The reefs were alive with thousands of fish especially huge numbers of antheas and one of my favourites, Fusiliers!

While at the Brothers, we were also able to dive the Numidia and Aida, two fabulous wrecks.

The views from the boat were pretty good too!

There were lots of animals feeding off the reef and out in the blue, as well as some just hanging out… (and it wouldn’t be right not to have a friendly turtle on the trip!)

And the Hammerheads didn’t disappoint!

We then moved on to El Gouna to Dive with Dive Connection for a few days.  First dive was at Dolphin House…

followed by some of our favourite wrecks (Carnatic, Giannis D, Chrisola K and Kimon M)

All in all, we had a fantastic trip and we can’t wait for next year’s trip to the deep south of the Egyptian Red Sea!  Keep an eye on our trips and sign up to our newsletter here.
