What a day! It was bright and early when I got woken up for an early morning walk before going on a road trip to Wraysbury Dive Centre – one of my favourite places as it’s so clean and green and one of my friends, Pepper, lives there.
The divers did lots of talking about diving stuff like shutdowns, stacking or not stacking stages, out of gas drills and some NOTOX gas switching (I listen but don’t really understand), while I played with Pepper and had a nap. Then it was dive time!
They had so many tanks! It was very exciting as I watched them do their safety checks before getting in the lake.
Once they were in they gave me the ok signal. I should admit that James (from Amphibian Sports, who feeds me when Toni’s away) helped me with the dive site management as I’m not good at some of it. I bark and wag my tail when they jump in and when they go down and when they come up, then I try to lick the water off them when they come out!
When they came back it sounded like a good dive. 90 minutes in 5 degrees of water, with all skills done. They were happy and had lots of chips to celebrate (but didn’t give me enough). Well done to Michael, Kevin and Lawrence on doing Dive 1 of their PADI Tec50!! Thank you to Scott for his assistance and to James for helping me with the dive site management. And of course all the Wraysbury staff, who gave me lots of pats and let me see Pepper and make the bestest chips!
